Training is scheduled all over the USA, Europe, Canada and the Far East each year in a variety of disciplines including but not limited to Karate (Shorin Ryu, Isshiryu, Tae Kwon Do, Kempo, etc), Kobudo, Iaido, Batto Jutsu, Jiu-jitsu, Tuite Jutsu, Hakutsuru (White Crane) and Tai Chi.

Various training opportunities are available to the Dojo/Organization head instructor and his/her students as members of the UMAA. The Dojo/Organization head and/or senior students should purchase a set of UMAA Shorin Ryu Karate or Okinawan Kobudo VIDEO TRAINING TAPES to aid them with the transition if they are enroled in our Shorin Ryu Karate and Kobudo Transition Program.

The Dojo/Organization head or senior students can arrange for an initial training seminar to get things started. The Seminars can be arranged via the state or regional representatives. Visits to the UMAA International Headquarters for training will also be welcomed and encouraged.

Attendance at the ANNUAL UMAA TRAINING & SEMINAR  held each summer at UMAA International Headquarters in North Carolina.

2010 TOURNAMENTs

Attendance is highly encouraged at the periodic UMAA SEMINARS  held by various members across the USA and the World throughout the year.

Attendance is highly encouraged at regularly scheduled NATIONAL, REGIONAL or STATE UMAA CLINICS AND SEMINARS given by UMAA licensed Instructors throughout the country.

DVD's Available

for training are also an excellent source of supplemental training. UMAA offers DVD's covering all the katas and weapons in the Shorin Ryu Transition Program.

DVD's are $35.00 which includes S/H. within the USA.

DVD's can be ordered in sets or individually. Custom orders are available upon request.

The initial emphasis will be to provide the transitional Dojo/Organization with training up to and including the Shodan (lst Dan) level. Afterwards, higher Dan grade black belts should be trained in all the advanced katas for their grade level.
